CSL Assiniboine enters cold ship canal

CSL Assiniboine loading coal at BN

Coal is still the big cargo. There is not as much back up as yesterday to get to the Midwest Energy Resources coal dock in Superior, but it will still be busy over there. The James R. Barker came in yesterday from the anchorage and will probably leave sometime this morning for Detroit Edison. A boat called the CSL Assiniboine arrived in the Twin Ports last July for the first time under that name. It had previously made many trips here as the Jean Parisien. CSL Assiniboine loads first cargo

Half a new boat was in the Twin Ports yesterday. With a new hull, the 730 foot Jean Parisien arrived in Superior Saturday morning as the 739' 10"  CSL Assiniboine.
