Halandriani frequently renamed

The Halandriani is at anchor waiting for the Federal Danube to complete loading at the CHS #1 grain terminal in Superior. This is the 15th trip here for this ship since 1996 although some of those visits came when it was called the Ocean Leader and the Chios Pride. It was launched in 1981 as the Regent Palm, and was renamed the World Palm, Protoporos III, Crystal B and Ocean Leader prior to becoming the Chios Pride in 1997. Above, the ship is coming into the Duluth harbor in July, 2001 when it was the Chios Pride.

Chios Pride here for grain

The Chios Pride will arrive in the Twin Ports today to load grain. It may drop anchor around noon and wait for a berth to clear later in the afternoon. It has only been here 11 times since 1996, and not since December 10th, 2004. Above, it is entering the Duluth harbor in July, 2001. There will be a lot of coal departing today and some taconite, bentonite, flax and peas. In return, we will pick up limestone.
