Too much!

There are only so many things I can keep track of at one time. I have limits waiting for balloons to rise up into the air, but at least last night, I caught one with her (his) fires burning and the bridge a beautiful teal in support of ovarian cancer. And best of all, the Baie St. Paul moving over from her anchorage to come under the Lift Bridge. You will have to imagine the beautiful harvest moon in the upper right of the picture and take my word for it that those lights out there were from the Baie St. Paul. Below, Sunday morning, September 18, 2016, more balloons but fog dimmed the colors and they remain grounded.

Baie St. Paul arrived under Lift Bridge

Baie St. Paul arrived Duluth on October 6, 2014 for her 8th trip here this season. She will load 32,000 tons of coal for Quebec.

3 again and still 1 more and then the Mac

The Mackinaw led a convoy of boats that arrived off the Duluth piers this morning (April 30, 2014).  Before they came in, the CSL Assiniboine departed around 8:25 morning and ran into some ice problems. The bad news; there were 7 boats in front of her waiting to come in. The good news: the Mackinaw was right there and after a couple hours of working the ice, the Assiniboine was on her way. The first three were the CSL Assiniboine, Cason J. Callaway and the Thunder Bay.

Half an hour later, the Whitefish Bay came in, followed by the Baie Comeau and then the CSL Tadoussac.

After the Bridge went down to clear some traffic, the Baie St. Paul came in alone. A little later, the Mackinaw, having watched her charges safely make it into the Duluth harbor, came in herself.

Above, the Baie St. Paul made her first entrance  into the Duluth port around 8:30 on Friday night, December 21, 2012.  Below, you don’t suppose the Baie St. Paul is hiding behind her fleet mate Atlantic Erie, do you. Both are at anchor off the Duluth piers, waiting to load iron ore pellets at the CN dock in West Duluth.
