Riga was built in 2011, is 434 feet long and flies the flag of The Netherlands

Rio Glory
The Riga was launched as the Flinter Aland in 2011 by the company of the same name. That Dutch company declared bankruptcy in December, 2016; hence the new name. She arrived Duluth on Monday morning, April 17, 2017, to load wheat at Riverland Ag. Just below, you can see the history of her name on the bow of the ship. Flinter Aland has been painted over with the grey color of the hull, and the new name painted over it. Notice, the ‘A’ in Riga is painted directly over the ‘A’ in the previous name, although they changed the size a little. It does appear to be the same font.
