    Thanks for sharing these pictures.
The 3th officer on the bridge wing is our son.
So many miles away from home …
But … so close because of these pics and the wonderful webcams in Duluth!
    Thanks!
    😀
    Greetings from the Netherlands!

From one mom (and also a grandma) to another…
You are obviously very proud of your hard-working son!
I happened to be online watching when your son’s ship arrived on Halloween. There is a short video clip of this ship’s arrival on duluthharborcam.com (website of photographer Dennis O’Hara) – it also has audio, so you can hear the captain’s salute on the ship’s whistle and the lift bridge reply, as well as the loudspeaker from the Lake Superior Marine Museum (lsmma.com, two webcams there) announcing the ship’s arrival.
Those of us who don’t live in Duluth also very much appreciate the webcams and the work of the webmasters who bring us such enjoyment.

        Hallo Pat!
So nice to read your reply.
We knew about the webcams so we were wachting the arrival too.
A lot of his friends did the same … 🙂
Two years ago Dan also visited Duluth as an apprentice.
Last year he graduated and started to work as youngest officer.
And yes: we are so proud of our only child (now a grown up man).
We miss him, but due to webcams and wifi we can connect!
We appreciate the people who made this possible (webcams Duluth and Duluth Shipping News).
        Greetings from the Netherlands!
        Jenny
