|The Blacky arrived off the Duluth piers on April 20, 2011. Because of heavy seas, she came into the Duluth inner harbor so that a group of local grain officials, including the agent, stevedore and customs officials, could board her for a meeting that is always held aboard each salt water ship that arrives in port. After about an hour meeting, the officials got off and the Blacky returned to the outer anchorage. I had a chance to ride the pilot boat out to retrieve the pilot and posted pictures at the “click here” link above. She is loading spring wheat to carry to the Spanish port of Cádiz.
