calumet20100718_2362The Calumet was built as the William R. Roesch at Lorain in 1973. Oglebay Norton took over ownership in 1994 and renamed her the David Z. Norton in 1995. In 2006, Oglebay Norton got out of the vessel operations business and the vessel was sold and eventually came under the ownership of Grand River Navigation and she became the Calumet.   1. On 12-27-2013 I saw this beautiful ship parked near the Edna G. at Two Harbors Dock, and then watched it maneuver to another just vacated dock. Cool!
