Missed the bear. Is there a good story to go with the bear?

Jennifer J May 15, 2012 at 10:59 am

Hi there,
We are just wondering if you happened to catch any pictures of the black bear that was just in the canal? Thanks ~ JJ

Patty in Saint Paul May 11, 2012 at 4:05 pm

Ken,
Thanks for all the info about the Morraborg, etc. I love it when I happen to catch a ship coming or going and your sound is on so I can hear the ship and bridge “talk” to each other.

laura, have you updated your adobe flash player?

laura May 11, 2012 at 12:01 pm

I haven’t been able to open the DSTV for about a month now. Can’t open some of the bridge sites either. I’m bumming.

d_malnati May 9, 2012 at 1:13 pm

Thanks Holly, that would explain why it works sometimes and not others.

holly May 9, 2012 at 11:33 am

ustream is under a DDoS attack, so if you can’t get the cams, that is the reason.

Warren May 9, 2012 at 11:27 am

FYI, I have checked computers operating under Windows 7 and XP and both are working ok. I have not done any updates on these in last few days. I did start having problems, with another site, after doing an update on Windows 7 early last week.

Jill from Alabama May 9, 2012 at 11:12 am

Ken!!

Kevin from Oshawa May 9, 2012 at 7:51 am

ever since this morning’s windows update I can’t get any of the ustream to work either

holly May 9, 2012 at 7:24 am

i can’t get any of the ustream sites this morning either!

d_malnati May 9, 2012 at 6:13 am

Its back for me, seems like it might have been ISP related.

d_malnati May 9, 2012 at 5:02 am

I to am having issues viewing DSNTV, was working fine for me until the 9th. Before the 9th I was hibernating my PC instead of shutting down for the night, but I had to re-boot and its not worked since the re-boot. I can add that it does not seem to be an issue on Ken’s side because I have noticed that none of the ustream video’s I have links to work.

MN_Jack76 May 6, 2012 at 3:53 pm

Deb, It’s good on my end. Sorry you’re having trouble.

Deb F May 6, 2012 at 3:11 pm

Is anyone else having a problem with the Harbor Cam?? Every time I go there it kicks me off saying there is a problem.

Steve Brooklyn Park May 5, 2012 at 7:45 pm

No thanks i will try it

holly May 5, 2012 at 7:34 pm

do you need to update your adobe flash player?

Steve Brooklyn Park May 5, 2012 at 7:20 pm

I can’t open the Bridge Cam, it just sits there and wont open.
My wife can on her lap top, any ideas ???

Calypso4811 April 30, 2012 at 7:10 pm

I love to visit this site… if you click on “bridge web cam” under the name of either the Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria or Queen Elizabeth, you can voyage the world with the Cunard Line. Right now I know at least 2 of them are at sea and it is nighttime… not much to see, but sometimes you can catch them coming into a port or traversing the Panama Canal or some neat thing like that. Awesome. http://www.cunard.com/Ships/

Hi Jan – got you beat by several years – started at about 3 year old when my family lived in Duluth. But it absolutely never gets old or boring for us, does it? Just wish I could be there “for real”!

Jan April 29, 2012 at 4:59 pm

I’m not sure, but at 70 years I may be one of the oldest boatnerd’s. I have at least four sites that I visit many, many times a day. I never get tired of watching the ships come and go.

Thanks again for all of the enjoyment!

Mary Ann April 25, 2012 at 9:13 pm

Nick – you can never start too young to be a boatnerd!!

Nick April 25, 2012 at 7:30 pm

Thanks MN_Jack76. I love the boats. I’m 13 and I’m the youngest Boatnerd I know.

MN_Jack76 April 25, 2012 at 6:27 pm

Hello Nick,

I actually came home and slept for two days! I did cheat every once-in-a-while and nap while I was there though. As far as the Cort we unfortunately never did see it leave, all we could see was the back of it when it was being loaded (and that was pretty far away). I hope you get to see it on your next trip! I had a chance to view your channel and loved the video’s!

Nick April 24, 2012 at 8:11 pm

MN_Jack76, you are welcome. 3 days of nothing but ship watching. You must have been tired!!! I woke up at 4:30 A.M. to go to Duluth one day, and we left around 8:30 P.M. I fell asleep in the car 5 minutes later according to my dad. Never pulled an all-nighter before. Did you ever see the Cort go out?

Nick April 24, 2012 at 7:55 pm

The Barker’s horn kind of sounded like a symphony. I liked it!

Warren April 24, 2012 at 6:58 pm

That was great-sounds like the Barkers horn needs a little tune-up.
Love that deep throaty sound however. Thanks for staying late Ken!

Jill from Alabama April 24, 2012 at 12:47 pm

Jake, welcome onboard! You’re an official Boatnerd!!!

Jake April 23, 2012 at 10:00 pm

Kevin G April 23, 2012 at 9:18 pm

The stream is freezing up occasionally tonight.(4/23) Checked other streaming cams, and they all worked fine so it’s not my connection.
