Last vessel of the season

The Paul R. Tregurtha made a beautiful entry into the Duluth harbor this morning at 9:23. It was her 46th and last visit of the season, as she was the last vessel to come under the Duluth Aerial Lift Bridge this season.

  1. The Michipicoten was the last vessel to load from Two Harbors, right after the Paul Tregurtha. Both ships unloaded at Essar Canada. Does anyone know where the Michipicoten ended up?

  2. Pat Hanson says:

Thank you for the wonderful shots – looing forward to next summer

  3. Ken,

Thanks for all your hard work and information during the past year.

    Really appreciate you!

  4. Rob Koedam Kortgene The Netherlands says:

Pleasant dreams lakers. See you again after your winter sleep!

  5. Enjoyed watching the Paul Tregurtha glide in out of the lake steam this AM. The attraction to the canal and the boats was proudly displayed by approx 2 dozen hearty souls who braved -25 wind chills to provide the welcome. 67 days until the Soo reopens!!!

  6. last but not least. there sure were a lot layed-up early this year. and not a lot of ice around either. foreign steel dumping and power plants shutting down everywhere. doubt if we will see 75% of American fleets operating next year.

  7. wow…nice pix!
