Cort departs Duluth!!

The Stewart J. Cort is seen here departing Duluth on Sunday, August 25, 2013. She had stopped at the Port Terminal and was going out to the anchorage to wait for the Algowood to complete loading iron ore pellets at the BN, I think. I do know she departed Duluth today, as you can see. Video below, of Cort departure.

  1. Pat Meisner says:

Unique boat with a great whistle – nice of her captain to acknowledge those watching with a couple extra blasts. She more often visits by way of the Superior entry, great that you were able to catch this departure on video.

  2. William Mitchell says:

I love the traditional look of the lake freighter and the Cort does have that.

  3. Awesome!!

  4. Nice lighthouse picture with departing Stewart J. Cort and one butt ugly stern. Still nice shot, though. Only saw it from a distance. Darn!

  5. Nice surprise for Duluth today!
