The Edwin H. Gott was the last freighter to come home for winter layup, coming under the Duluth Aerial Lift Bridge at 7:45 am on January 18, 2012

Saw her in person. When I stood where this picture was taken, I had forgotten how MASSIVE these ships were!

Looking at the harbor cams the Alder won’t have much work to do this spring. The ice has almost retreated back to the turning basin.
