Jeff, the most lakers that have wintered in the Twin Ports in the last 20 years or so was 15 ships during the winter of 2002 – 2003.
If you filled each berth that’s been open for winter layup in the last few years, Duluth-Superior could theoretically accommodate 17 or 18 lakers quite easily.
I believe the most I’ve seen in the past 10 years was 15.
What is the maximum number of ships that can winter in the Duluth/Superior ports?
