Statue of Liberty revisited

statueofliberty20111101_6376It has been pointed out to me that I did not have to fly all the way to New York City to see the Statue of Liberty. Any one want to guess where in Duluth this one is located? Beth Duncan, at the Marine Museum, is not eligible to enter this contest since she told me where to find it. After everybody is done not knowing where this is, although Beth told me she has mentioned this to many people over the years, I will add some additional information. Isn’t it at the DECC. I saw it once when I visited Duluth on a trip. My brother made me memorize it’s place because it was dedicated by boyscouts.

Right on the south end of DECC. It’s a virtual geocach I did a couple of years ago.

It is located right next to the DECC (South side), right across from the Aquarium.

We also have a nice Statue of Liberty right beside Interstate 459 that goes through Birmingham! She used to be on top of the Liberty National Life Insurance building in downtown Birmingham, but was moved to 459 about 15 years ago. She’s beautiful!

Isn’t it just to the south of the DECC?

I know where it is, but I had to Google it to find out (it’s kinda like cheating at radio trivia). I won’t post the answer so someone who knows the answer with out internet help can have the glory.
