Spring Breeze 1 and the Canadian Provider wait …

The Walter J. McCarthy Jr. departed Duluth …

… at 10am on Thanksgiving morning with a cargo that will be discharged at Essexville and then St. Clair. See more pictures of the McCarthy here.

The James R. Barker came into port for coal ….

on Saturday morning, November 21, 2009. The John J. Boland, loaded with limestone, was behind her but turned off to wait at the anchorage. Go here, James R. Barker for more info, including video.

The Tuscarora, once the Rixta Oldendorff, arrived off the the Duluth piers last night (November 14, 2009).

tuscarora20091115_4107 Overnight, the Tuscarora took the place of the Federal Sakura at anchor off the Duluth piers. She came in last night at 8:27. Both are (will be) loading grain at the CHS terminal in Superior. This is the 2nd trip here for the Tuscarora this season; she has been here many times in the past when she was the German owned Rixta Oldendorff. She is now operated by a company in Greece.

Anderson to Duluth then Two Harbors

arthurmanderson20091106_3962 The Arthur M. Anderson came under the Lift Bridge this afternoon (Friday, November 6, 2009) around 2:45. She brought limestone from Calcite, Michigan and after discharging that cargo, she will go up to Two Harbors to load iron ore pellets for Gary.
