Niña gets visited while she visits

While people were visiting the 94 foot Niña this morning (above), the 1,000 foot James R. Barker came under the Lift Bridge. While making the turn into the harbor, the Barker snuck by the Niña on its way to load coal at Midwest Energy Resources. In the picture, we are looking at the Barker through the rigging that supports the ship’s mainmast and foremast. The Niña will be at the Lakehead Boat Basin at 1000 Minnesota Ave. on Park Point through today. Photo taken on July 17, 2007.
