BBC Mississippi visits Duluth for first time

Four boats are expected to arrive in port today to load coal at Midwest Energy Resources in Superior. One of them, the Indiana Harbor, the first to arrive this morning around 6 am, will be able to leave today, the rest, in order of expected arrival, the Algosoo, Paul R. Tregurtha and the Canadian Enterprise, will be departing with their coal on Sunday. Two Great Lakes Fleet boats, the Philip R. Clarke and the Arthur M. Anderson will be bringing limestone into port. The BBC Mississippi, as expected, arrived on Friday (above) and is at the AGP grain terminal in Duluth waiting until Monday to load grain. In the picture, the tug Kentucky is assisting the BBC Mississippi in making the turn up the Duluth harbor after coming under the Lift Bridge for the first time.
