|The Kapitonas Serafinas dropped anchor off the Duluth piers on Sunday afternoon, waiting for a berth to clear. It is a Lithuanian ship based in Klaipeda, Lithuania and is named for a prominent Lithuanian sailor. Before Lithuania achieved freedom from Russia, the ship was Russian owned and named Kapitonas Stulov. Stulov was a prominent Russian sailor. The Kapitonas Serafinas has 10 sister ships, now all owned by the Lithuanian Shipping Company in Klaipeda. They were all renamed after Lithuanian sailors.
