After loading coal in Sandusky, Ohio for delivery to Ontonagon, Michigan, the John G. Munson will be here today to load coal for Ashtabula, Ohio. Built in 1951 and still powered by a steam turbine engine, it was lengthened by 120 feet in 1976 at the Fraser Shipyard in Superior and is now 768 feet long. |
