David Z. Norton

The David Z. Norton was here four times last year. It was built in 1973 especially to carry taconite up the Cuyahoga River from Cleveland to the J & L Steel plant, now called ISG (International Steel Group Inc.). It still does that most of the time but does make occasional trips up to Duluth and Taconite Harbor, usually bringing limestone up and loading taconite for a lower lakes port.
