Atlantic Superior helped build Chunnel

The Atlantic Superior has spent much of its life as an ocean going vessel. Built in 1982, the first trip with cargo originated in Superior when it loaded taconite. However, it soon was working a wide variety of ocean routes taking coal from the United Kingdom to Portugal, iron ore from Spain back to the United Kingdom and others. Notably, the vessel delivered stone to the English Channel tunnel project.
